Kaiser Releases Two New Fact Sheets On Medicaid and Medicare And HIV/AIDS
In America today, Medicaid and Medicare provide three-quarters of the funding for HIV/AIDS care and individual coverage to about half of those living with HIV/AIDS who are in care. They're our nation's most important AIDS programs.
The Kaiser Family Foundation put out two new fact sheets last week, one on Medicaid and HIV/AIDS and another on Medicare and HIV/AIDS. These fact sheets provide an overview of the role of these programs for people with HIV/AIDS including federal funding estimates, eligibility criteria and services, profiles of beneficiaries, and future outlook.
You can download the fact sheets here: Medicaid (PDF, 64K) and Medicare (PDF, 62K). Or go directly to KFF at www.kff.org/hivaids/hiv100104pkg.cfm. Thanks to Kaiser and their staff and affiliated folks for putting this great stuff together.
