It's one-stop shopping here at the update for sign-on initiatives designed to show federal and state legislators that dozens or hundreds of groups in the HIV/AIDS, antipoverty, LGBT and activist communities are counting on them to take actions that will save lives across the country.
Save ADAP
The national "SAVE_ADAP" working group is seeking organizational sign-ons for a letter to the chairs of the Senate and House Appropriations Committees for more funding for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program that gets lifesaving medications to poor and low-income people living with HIV/AIDS. Over 400 people are now on the South Carolina ADAP waiting list, the longest in the country.

HIV Medicaid/Medicare Working Group
The national HIVMMWG has finalized its 2007 principles for protecting and improving Medicaid and Medicare for PLWHAs and those who need basic health care to survive.

New Yorkers for Fiscal Fairness
New York's own NYFF has brought together hundreds of social justice, antipoverty, faith, union and activist groups to advocate for a fair tax and revenue system that closes corporate loopholes and ensures adequate revenues for needed public services.
